have a Savage 219....or at least all the parts!....that i need assembled.
Anyone know a gunsmith with experience with this rifle?

That’s a nice one. Too bad they let those go. Maybe, with Henry doing a land-office business with theirs, Savage might re-evaluate.

Savage 219's are a pretty simple firearm to work on. You should be able to take it to ust about any competent gunsmith and have work done.


After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I am thinking this may be one of those assembly jobs that are easier with a couple of slave pins to help align parts.

Is there a missing spring in that photograph.
I think I was able to put it together in my mind from the photo.
May take a bit of tinkering to put some parts back in the correct order.
