I know of no models that came new with a 24" 22HP barrel. However, I believe there were 24" Replacement barrels that could be ordered/installed.

Yep.. what Keith said. No original factory standard 24" 22HP barrels. I'm sure they could be special ordered at the time, and later factory replacements from Chicopee Falls and Westfield would be 24".
Look at the barrel address and front sight style.

I have a 99A with a 26" rifle weight barrel. Correct barrel address, etc. Obviously a special order. I am sure someone could have ordered a 22 HP with a 24" barrel. I had an 1899H once with a Westfield 22 HP barrel. Can't remember if it was 22" or 24". With Savage never say never.

I have a Westfield 24" 22HP barrel, the take down lug lines up with the one on my 1926 F in 303. I asked the guy I got the barrel from about the action and he said he already sold it. Broke my heart that he broke up that rifle for parts, he couldn't have gotten much for the parts. I got the barrel on GB for $100, and was the only bidder.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.
