Wore a neon pink shirt and black bow-tie to "The Warden"s 5 year cancer free banquet. The folks in Zion, IL seemed to think the attire went well with the Stetson and boots.

Perhaps the most stupid bit of clothing ever foisted upon mankind. Made X times more stupid by tucking it in between two buttons on the shirt.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Weddings & funerals. That's about it.

I wore one for a few years working in Bechtel's office in Houston circa '93 - 95. When I headed north to manage engineering on our oil sands project the Bechtel partly owned Bantrell I had an engineering "manager" telling me that jeans were only allowed on Friday. As I was footing the bill it never became an issue.

Used to daily for work, fortunately things have gone more business casual.
I think it is actually a really stupid clothing item, but do appreciate it when truly called for - weddings, funerals, etc.

Used to be mandatory most days for work. I quit wearing a tie twenty or so years ago by deciding it wasn't mandatory for me. Two funerals and one baptism got me to wear a tie since ditching them for work. Finally threw away the rest of the ties out of fear my wife would dress me up in one at my funeral.

I used to wear one to work every day. Now I wear shorts and t-shirts every day since I work from home. No more ties except weddings and funerals.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.

I never minded wearing a tie. Don’t have much occasion now being retired. Our church is fairly casual. I generally wear slacks and a dress shirt. May wear a tie if I’m preaching but not always.
Still wear them when called in for security details. Mostly plain clothes escorts or if I fill in at one of the state agencies the company has contracts with.
Those are usually only day gigs to cover for one of the regulars.
Ties aren’t so bad.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

To our wedding, 9/95. Sure don't fit those duds anymore. Don't even own a proper dress shirt.
Have a couple shirts with a collar. A few even button!
Just a blue collar slob, Don't pretend to be a white collar snob.
