Truth. The slavery issue and any arguments for or against the new territories becoming slave states are and were irrelevant. Under the constitution any state had--and has--the right to secede from the union at any time.
But then, most people today believe we live in a democracy.

I have a coozy with the flag on it, and I use it all the time. Young'uns think it's racist, or a symbol of rascism. But of course non of them have listened to Walter Williams. Lots of people around here have the Confederate flag either flying of tacked to the side of their home. Back in Colorado it would probably get you arrested.
