I'm in Selah WA.

Open to discussing delivery and shipping (I have a friend at Alaska Air, I guess it's a thing...)

If I was ready for a pup I'd be planning a road trip.

I've watched your lab pup classifieds here for a while. One of these days I'm going to break down and get one! I'm finally getting over losing my last one enough to consider another. If there were a female yellow in this litter it would already have happened I think! My GF is wearing me down on a black one though...

You're doing a great job with them, they're very well behaved for their age.

Hey, Black is classic! And it'll probably be a year before the next batch!

I’ve been Blogging this journey… developing a training system to condition Puppies from day 3 of their lives.

Starting with the stress and recovery of Dew Claw removal, followed by intentionally applied stress and recovery of ENS therapy.
All stress recovery was intentionally associated with human presence, starting with simply smelling my breath as they were comforted and calmed.

Transitioning those experiences to Puppy Training, and beginning day one of their sighted/hearing lives with calm and attention and connection with the human.

All as a group. And this group was big!

The group portion of their Training is now completed. Repetitions until they're all gone... Last Blog...

Status of June 2022 Pups!

Well, what a ride! As of this blog post (Saturday morning, June 18, 2022) there are several pups available, both genders, and about half are reserved. Two have already gone to homes (early, but with instruction), and the bulk of the will go this coming weekend.

Here's what we've accomplished:

In addition of the normal routine of Dew Claw Removal, ENS Therapy, series of Three Spectra Vaccinations, series of Two Liquid Wormings, Conditioning Exposure to kids, adults, other dogs, gravel, grass, vehicle load in/outs, loud noises, tires rolling by, riding mowers, tractors, etc... we've put these pups into a sequential series of Group Puppy Obedience Training steps:

First step: Respect ME while I'm holding your food. Starts with getting their attention on me when their food is in the area creating scent. Then progresses to them sitting and looking to me while their food is there accessible, in plain view.

Second step: Respect ME at gates (and doors and any other threshold type situation.) I open their gate, and they aren't allowed to surge, they have to sit and wait and look to me for direction.

(Then this huge group of pups had to join together and perform steps 1 and 2 as a group of 20!)

Third step: This one was new to these pups... Hold until released for food! It was a natural progression, I needed help at first, but very VERY shortly they were sitting tight and waiting until commanded to rush to the food tray.

Fourth step: Take the HOLD discipline and apply it to the command "COME" without the prospect of food reward, only the prospect of affection reward... they all did awesome! It's working, and they are acting like THIS is normal puppy behavior. Not crazy, not distracted, not disinterested, NOT "I'll do whatever I feel like" ...

THEY"RE READY TO LEARN!

I’m starting to let them go to homes now, a few days early, but they’re ready. Not teaching any more group lessons, only reinforcing what’s already there. So.. It’s TIME!

Here’s a video from today, 7 boys together, doing Sit/Hold/Come

https://youtube.com/shorts/W4LgdS5N-6I?feature=share

The “hold” is silent in my training method! If I say “hold” or “stay” then basically I’m saying that I didn’t really mean it when I said “sit!”

Besides, the “hold” command comes later when you don’t want them to drop what they fetched.

These two girls are going home today, so I separated them out for a few drills in the grass. (Hot today, 80+.)

Had a a little jump of the gun on this one, but I was really proud of them for recovering the “sit” from a distance!

Yeah, I tend to blame the advertising outlets with such a burr under their saddle about purebred dogs... and I did have 20 at once, but yeah, I'm a little surprised too. As good a lines as any, better than most, and I just haven't seen anyone raise and train baby puppies like this. It's really working. I'm getting pics and videos from new owners... I'm just really excited about the STARTED puppies concept. It really makes a difference in early training and adjusting to home life.

So, here are the individual pics and short descriptions of the pups I still have on the block...

I have a few inquiries going, but no deposit no hold, so these are available. They can be picked up any time now, they're ready. Or, I can Deliver to most of WA, some of OR, some of ID, meet you in the middle, hold for awhile, arrange long distance transport, etc. Many options.

These are awesome pups, I'm getting obedience and behavior I never dreamed was possible in puppies... the ENS/Puppy Training system of "STARTED Puppies" is really working. Check the website if you haven't yet...

Ok, here they are... in Selah WA... Ready to go!

YellowRedSparkles is Reserved.

Here's a video from today.

Had a LONG wait, THEN I took my phone out and really made them wait! I wanted to show how the release word "FOOD" has become their sole focus, no encouraging needed like when I first established the routine.

Had one pup break, then stop, and recover. I should have made it go further back, but I had waited so long I figured it was ok. The pup did step back to recover the "sit" so it was a sucess.

Here it is...

7 pups still available...

Video from today: Switching it up on the puppies causes them to re-focus their LISTENING… they can’t just perform a habitual ritual. Get them out of the routine and make them listen!
