90 gr eldx,90gr bt,90gr gamechanger. Which one is the go to for deer.

I am trying 90 grain BT right now. Most of my shots are 50 yards or closer nowadays.

No doubt it will work fine as do most any .243 bullets from 70-100 grains. I have tried a bunch over the years and for me most of the 100s are what I call too tough unless you go with bullets.

Prefer an 80 -90 grain bullet.

If I had to choose between only those 3 I'd probably go with the eld-x. I load for me and my wife's 243's and she's shooting 90 grain Accubonds and I'm shooting 100 grain partitions in mine.

Where did you get the 90gr accubond

I would definitely buy some if you know where to get them

Whichever one shoots the best and is easier to load for. Those 3 will all act about the same on meat.

Have had really good luck with the 90 gr BT on deer.

What I have is just bullets that I have been collecting for the last 10 years or so since I started reloading. In that time if I saw some for a good price I would buy them and just put them back for if times got tough like they have been for the last few years. I cant tell you the last time I saw any of the 90 grain Accubonds in a store or online anywhere.

My son has killed a crowd with the Nosler 95gr BT and a truck load with the Sierra 100gr Pro Hunter, both worked equally well. We've never tried the other ones mentioned but i'm sure they're all good bullets.

I’d look at 95 gr BT also.

I have a pretty good-sized pile of those and other Noslers from when SPS actually had some stuff. Probably need a new barrel before I need more .24 bullets. The 95s seem easy to get to shoot well.

I don't think one can pick a bad bullet if over 80 grs and if designed for the game desired. I've used standard cup and core 100 gr bullets from Remington, Hornady, Sierra, Speer, Winchester, and likely others I don't recall with mostly good results from a few yards to nearly 300 yards.

My one so called "poor" result was with a 100 gr Sierra Prohunter on a white tail at maybe 40 yards. I shot him front on and it was able to reverse course and make it to a small river where it expired and I was unable to find it. I blamed the bullet but experience led me to believe I took out only one lung which enabled it to travel further than expected. I swore off Sierras for a long time but use them now. Amazing what a little knowledge can do to change one's mind.

Is this a trick question? If you are a 243guru, then you should already know the answer.

The 95BT is my go to for deer. I think I actually have a bunch of 90 accubonds I'll probably never bother to load them though. The 95's are just too good.

But I'll admit I used 95 NBTs for quite some time with excellent results. Only reason I dont use them now is my current .243 doesnt like them.....which is odd cause Ive never seen any gun that didnt like NBTs.

I used the 95 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip last deer season here in Kentucky with good results.
