My morning ritual. Make a cup- or pot depending on mood while wife still sleeps for a few hours.
she bought this coffee make that has a hot h20 reservoir so all you do is add however much 'new' water for the amount of coffee you make and shut the lid. It starts filling the carafe immediately. I kick that off then head to the back yard and do some spot watering and fill the bird feeder with different seeds. That is my Zen I guess. We have several squirrels , some young and bold that get very close to me. I do my best to gently keep them out of the feeder. Yard is full of this am from them digging the millions of acorns dropped by my white oak. I was at war with the squirrels but at present see no harm mthey are causing . Love or hate 'em you have t ogive the things credit for their acrobatics and cleverness.

As for the birds I am actively identifying all of them- including the woodpecker that ate my facia! Trying to learn all the songs of each.

Off to fill cup #2. 'Morning Wabigoon.

If there is a poll I guess I am Maxwell House but wife is Folgers.

I start out with a shot of espresso. Then have breakfast and make a thermos full of coffee in the French press, 3 big cups in there, lasts me all day.

I have one cup of Eight O'Clock every day. Was up at 4:30 today so it's long gone now. I usually have one or two cookies with mine to help settle the coffee and hold me until breakfast.

Folgers here - a couple of cups, usually.
After the wife gets hers, the pot's empty by 7:30.
I'm done well prior to that.

Costco's Kirkland 100% Columbian ground coffee in the 3lb steel can for me.

On my third cup for the day. That'll be it 'til tomorrow.

Plain Jane old Mr. Coffee.
Set it up every night to make three 8 ounce cups. The timer is set for 6AM.
Fill up a two cup Stanley thermos and one in my cup.

Take meds, sit down in recliner, turn on boob tube, sip coffee and cruise the 'net.
Make b'fast, refill cup.
After b'fast, refill cup....
THEN I go outside and do the water/garden thang!

I use a Presto Percolator coffee pot, like my parents before me. My twenty-first century problem is that all the traditional coffee brands (Folgers) have long since gone from a course grid to a fine grid, for instant machines. So, I bought a coffee grinder to get the coarse grid that's best for my percolator. Hmmm!

That’s what we drink. Hard to beat for quality and price. I like it strong and black.

Two cups down and finishing a Virgin Mary. I'll soon start installing knobs on the new kitchen cabinets. Beautiful day by the way, crystal clear view to the mountains.

Most mornings I have two small cups at Hardee's with a bunch of other old farts. Some mornings I bring my own large cup of Folgers from home, I hit the gym three mornings then I drink water.

I used to do Green Mountain breakfast blend, but lately it’s been the Amazon brand ( Happy Belly) breakfast blend.
It’s not bad at all and I can’t argue with the price. Under $30 for 100.

It's not bad for coffee that comes out of a can.

Plus, rather than some plastic container one gets a genuine steel can that will serve many purposes.

I drink snob coffee though, ordered online, comes in a bag with a one way valve even to keep oxidation low!

I mix French Roast decaf with Italian Espresso roast about 50/50 and make it really black. It tends to keep my caffeine addiction in check that way. Two cups most days, made in the K-cup side of our maker with a reusable cup insert.

Wife makes coffee for us both on the weekend in the side with the big pot. Whatever flavor of snob coffee she has on hand, some sort of African beans this time I think. Good thing is she likes it as dark as I do, but she puts milk and honey in it. I prefer mine plain black, just like God made it!

I was drinking Dunkin brand but my Belgian frugality has hit on the coffee front - I get "Wide Awake" now. I like Cameroon's which is avail here in WI and I have a friend that's HEAVY into coffee, I can get the "good" stuff but it's lost on me. I don't have the palate for it.
