Paid off the layaway (that I had forgotten about) on a Freedom Arms 97 .22 convertible! Trying to decide if I want to scope it or not. It has a 5 1/2” barrel

I'd leave it as-is.. JMHO..
I have a FA 97 in .327 Federal. Never saw any reason to put any scope on it..

I have a FA 97 in .327 Federal. Never saw any reason to put any scope on it.. I've been jonesing for a FA 97 and have thought a lot about the 327 Federal. How do you like yours?

IIRC Freedom Arms sell holsters cut to fit with a micro red dot mounted. My 66 YO eyes don't see iron sights well enough to take advantage of that kind of precision accuracy. Enjoy!

I shot a .22 FA a champion Silouette shooter had at our club about 25 years ago.i didn't believe his claim it could shoot inch groups ever at 100 yards. It did often enough id not bet against it!! It wore a 12x Burris. im not sure the model though.
