Yeppers. Steps I don't have to take on the other sites.
In fact, toggling between websites isn't necessary nor is punching in a web address. 🤷‍♂️

Please go to the other sites more often.

I know that experience. I used to post photos, but it doesn't work anymore.

So on Postimages.org the option to choose "No Expiration", "Remove in 1 day", etc. what does that mean? Since I do not have an account with Postimages.org do they save my images on their server? If I say Remove in 1 day do they delete the image from their server? Or does Remove in 1 day mean it will be removed from the forum I posted the image too?

I don't understand that pull down window option.

You don’t have to have an account for either. If you say remove in one day then the link will become inactive after one day.

It’s anyone’s guess how long postimage will be around, so there is always the possibility that the images in the thread could one day go away just as photofuhket did.

I use the Images here on the site with my iPad. Pictures have to be edited to a size that it will accept. Once posted there, I copy the link for each pic, then use the full editor on the post I want the pic to appear on. I hit the image icon, then (this is key!) delete the http:yadayada in the popup before pasting the link to my pic. Post Reply and bingo!

It’s easier to open a second window on the Images thread for copying, then paste in the first window where the thread you’re adding the pic to is.

You’re doing it the hard way, no reason to have to do all that.

1) picture. This happens to be a screengrab.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

2) upload at postimages.org
[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

3)hit the “hotlink for forums” button. It will be blue and say “copied” once hit.

4)go to wherever you want the picture in your thread and hit “paste.”

That is all you need to do.

I don't jack with any of the drop downs.

Just choose image and then once it has loaded click on the far right side of the "hotlink for forums" option.

Come back to forum and paste where you want it.

I do. Real men. Men who ….,,are quite helpful to other posters.

Myself, and countless others have posted countless times on multiple ways to post pictures.

Multiple times guys have taken the time to post screenshots on exactly what needs done and where and what exactly the forum is looking for to get a picture posted.

Nobody had to do that. Nobody had to take time out of their day to try to assist a stranger.

Where I’m from, that’s called being helpful.

There’s a good half dozen users on here I’ve sent tutorials on how to do it. They’re were all successful and thankful. Seems helpful to me.

But feel free to say this forum is dumb, archaic, and other forums have helpful users.

Reminds me of a kid. Can’t do it. Isn’t going to take the time to listen to what is being said on what exactly needs done because “it’s to hard”. And then cry about it.

It truly is easy peasy. I can take a pic. Upload to another site. And have it posted in here in 30 seconds. But you’re too self loathing to listen to what anybody on here is telling you. In this post and all the other posts where you’ve done the sane thing about this “issue” you’re having.

Maybe the issue isn’t this forum?

Thanks so much. I have really struggled to figure this out as well but am now posting away with a bunch of my bird pics on the photography forum.
