I have ordered some dies and powder to start loading for 7mm-08. I have brass that I have saved and a supply of primers. I really like Barnes 140 gr TTSX bullets, but so far I have not been able to find any. I have checked with Midsouth, Midway, Graf & Son, Powder Valley, Academy, Cabela's, Natchez, Carter's Country, and Precision Reloading, and even Optics Planet and no one seems to have any in stock. I was at the NRA convention in Houston on Saturday and spoke to the people at the Barnes Bullets booth and they could not even tell me where to get them. Any one have any suggestions?

Try looking for the 140 TSX instead.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Are you hunting deer or elk? If your hunting deer use 120 TTSX, no need to use 140s. I use 120 TTSX for deer and hogs, I've only had 1 stay in a deer.

Been shooting the 140 TSX in my 7-08 for almost 20 years, WT's are DRT with it.

Not a bad deal. How much is shipping? I just bought 3 boxes locally for $39/box. My 7mm08 really likes that bullet.

The 120 gr TTSX is a winner out of the 7mm-08 for deer or antelope. I actually wouldn’t hesitate to use it on elk. It’s a winner and will penetrate.

Another vote for the 120TTSX. Never had a deer or hog take a step. Light loaded 7Msg

I vote 140 TTSX because I've actually used one on an elk in the 7mm08. Worked exactly as prescribed. I also like the 140 because I have 2 7mm rem mags to feed. Very good versatile and accurate bullet. Hopefully the op ordered a few boxes and gets a good load figured out. When the lady from the gunshop gets back from vacation, I think I'm going to buy another 5 boxes from her, since they appear to be a good deal at $39/box. While not nearly as good as this deal I found last year, still a pretty good deal by todays standards: The load needs a little more development as well. Just as soon as I get the new stock on my rifle:

BSA,
Shipping for me to AK is $9.95, but it doesn’t matter is I buy one box or multiple boxes. I think I had to pay $13.95 one time for a larger item from them, but honestly can’t remember now. Grice is on my short list of who to order from as their shipping is reasonable, unlike many others that either won’t ship to AK, or charge an ungodly amount.
