I'd say New York is one of the only states that might actually happen because New York is the only state producing people stupid enough to tell them they have a social media account.

I’m not sure anyone here other than Dwayne would pass their subjective test but knowing New York….on second thought, I doubt even Dwayne would pass muster. 😁 Dwayne couldn't pass, he mentioned that he owns a rifle once. Dwayne is so dam nice it's suspicious.

New York state was already talking for a few years like they wanted everyone to show them their social media accounts to get guns or a carry permit ,Before the SC decesion . this just gave them the excuse to implement it, without a lot of push back from citizens

Yes, their prior process was essentially to tear up the application and laugh while kicking your ass out the door. That will continue to be the process until all the court challenges wend their way through the system.

Knowing Blackie, he probably realized his retort had an overly strident tone, so he's editing it to be more harmonius. Wonder if that’s a new feature. I never knew that you could just nuke an entire post. When I’ve done it in the past it was just a content but not the header as well. This will necessitate screen grabs for any future wagers with Texans.

So if you live in NY and want to carry, you better start posting about how much you love smoking pole and packing fudge now. That won't get you a permit....it takes a loooooong time to go through three years worth of your social media, then make a subjective judgement....

As far as digital data, nothing is hidden if law enforcement wants it.
Our state just went through impeachment of our state’s attorney due to a traffic accident. They used a program called cellebrite digital information forensics to sift through his phone. 20 million of what they called “artifacts” of information. Second by second, foot by foot, they refuted his testimony.
If you have a phone, nothing is hidden. Correction. If you have anything electronic, the Swamp can look at it. How do you think they “found” Over 400 Jan 6 insurrectionists? Phones, email, FB, social media, credit cards, banks… Recall 10-15 years ago the guy who invented PGP Pretty Good Privacy got several years of grief from the three letter agencies because he would not give them the algorithm. IIRC, he finally prevailed. But life was miserable for a significant period of time. Ever wonder why the swamp is no longer whining about block chain cryptocurrencies?
