I have just completed a run of 10-100 round boxes of .44 Magnum 240 Grain Semi Wadcutter Hardcast ammo, produced in new Starline brass.

This is a classic design/load and one that has been used for decades.

This is a mid range/medium velocity load and is safe for older S&Ws. I have put literally thousands of rounds of this load through my pinned and recessed Smith 29s with no issue.


Velocity as tested:

4" M29 1025 FPS
5" M29 1050 FPS
6.5"M29 1100 FPS







This is my general purpose "All Around" load and one that I have used to take, Mule Deer, Russian boar, and various other game. Even finished off a Bison with a headshot with this load. Just a great all around load.





Like all the ammo sold, these are sold in 100 round increments.


I have 10-100 round boxes ready to go.

Any idea how these feed in a Marlin rifle? I’m g tying desperate for some ammo for my new rifle.

They should feed just fine in most Marlins, as I have used SWCs in my Marlins for a long time.

But accuracy may not be the best and here is why.

(Not that I am trying to dissuade someone from purchasing, but I always like to make sure someone actually gets what they need.)

The bullet used in the ammo above is a .44 240 gr. SWC Bevel Base (sized .430)

.44 rifle and pistol barrels are actually two different sizes.

SAAMI PISTOL barrel are .429

SAAMI RIFLE barrels are .431

The short version is that normally when loading for leverguns, you use a hardcast bullet specifically sized for the barrel if you want a precise load.

If you want to pop cans at 25 yards, then it really does not matter either way.
