A lot of people have had trouble using the Campfire posting system. These are the direction I came up with after playing with it for a while, and talking to Rick. Have sent them to several members, were apparently ll able to use them:

1) Open Image Gallery forum
2) Click on “New Gallery”
3) Type in a gallery title
4) Click on “Image Manager”—which will open a page called
“Attachment Manager”
5) Click on “Select A File To Attach,”
which will ask you to select a file from your computer.
The image has to be less than 2000 KB.
6) Click on the image, and after it downloads, click “Done”
7) Click on the downloaded image, and then click on “copy image address”

Open a new post on whatever forum you want, then type
[img]

Paste in the image address next to [img], which will look something like this:
https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/gallery/80/medium/143606.jpg

Type [/img] at the end of the image address.

When you click “Post Reply.” the photo will appear in the post, along with any comments you make.

Thank you.
Was able to upload to the gallery, but couldn’t get the pics to post in a forum.
Great instructions!

Give postimages.org a try. Joel just did it with no issues.

1. https://postimages.org/

2. Big blue button in middle of screen says “choose images” Click it.

3. Depending on what you’re using (iPhone, android, computer) there’s going to be something a little different here. On my iPhone it’s “choose image”—>”photo library”—->select the photo you want to upload——>”add” in upper right corner (again, this might be slightly different if you’re not using an iPhone. I know my work computer has you select the picture slightly different)

4. Wait for it to upload. Depending on your connection speed it might look like it’s hung up and doing nothing. Just wait it out.

5. Click the little flag to the right of “hotlink for forums” (click the flag will copy the code you’re going to paste in the next step)

6. Paste all that string of characters into a forum post.

I added a few characters to break this link so you see what it will look similar to.

And that same picture without the broken link

Postimage is what I've learned to use and I am very much a technologically challenged person. Now it will not work real well if you do not have adequate phone signal.
