My wife grew up in Western Wyoming…..they didn’t have plumbing in the house until she was a Freshman in HS! Kids and most adults today are absolutely clueless! memtb

A few years ago we were elk hunting in a late season. -16 on the truck thermometer. We stopped at a forest service campground to use the outhouse. It had one of those big vents going up the back of the building. I flopped down on the seat and holy cow!!!! The wind was coming through that vent and up the hole. I cut my sitting time to a minimum but my butt and gonads were aching from the cold.

Took a few whore baths with a washrag and a bucket of water Does that count? My wife has always referred to whore baths as a PTA, which stands for Pits, Tits and Ass.😀

#3 wash tube, When we were little kids they would put all 3 of us in the tube at the same time, and scrub the hell out of us, as we got bigger we got to have the tub 1 at a time, i was the oldest, so i got the last bath with another kettle of hot water, when i got old enough to go to town to jr. high, i took showers at school, huge luxury. Grandparents got indoor plumbing in 1982, I was 10yo. A lot of my mom’s family still used outhouses up through the 90’s. Grandma had a chamber pot we used to piss in at night. Woke up quite a few mornings at their place and there was snow on the blankets that blew in the eaves. Amazing how warm 4-5 patchwork quilts can keep you.

My kids are spoiled as Fugk, but they know how to snap and can beans, gut a deer, catch fish and start a fire in a wood stove so they’re doing better than 90% of their pussy friends.

And a Sears Roebuck catalog for toilet paper. That was before my time but I heard a few stories from my grandparents.

Yes, we used an outhouse, and bathed in a washtub, when I was a little kid.

Many, many times. And it was my job to get up and start the fire in the fireplace. I still can get a fire going in a hurry!
Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

Yes, we used an outhouse, and bathed in a washtub, when I was a little kid. And had a washer with wringers to grab your fingers. Butter churn for real butter made from soured cream. None of that semi- tasteless sweet cream butter that almost ended cornbread.
