This is the best that Winston had to offer when Tom Morgan still owned Winston Flyrods. This still has the original rod tube and sock, and the Winston Cup on the rod shaft. These rods were created to fish and present the best line control when flyrods were built to fish. This is before everyone wanted to build a flyrod that cast long lines in a parking lot. This rod is designed and built to catch fish. The control of your line is still at it's best when rods like this are used. A real classic rod at the apex of rod development...$450.00

A fishing trip with Shrap would be worth the price of that Rod. And it doesn’t get any better than Winston.
And that’s a great sized rod for any trout stream in the Rockies !
I’d be all over that if I didn’t already have a couple of 4 weights.

Knew I should have taken the time when I was finishing up there to take that class. Zac Wald told me about the class. I just never made the time.

FYI

This is an early 4 digit graphite rod with the gold Winston cup on the fly rod. It is as historic as it is a great fly rod…
