Scored on some today. Didn't really need any more powder, but I've never used this one before. What's it good for?

I picked up some for a 6.5Creed build.

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

It's the tits in the 30-06. Just use the info in Hodgdon's manual...mb

I bought some for a 280 rem. It's blazing fast and accurate. Need to get back to working with it

I like it! 57.5 grains of Superformance under a 180 gr Nosler Partition shoots 5 rounds <1 MOA at 100 yds in my ‘06 bolt gun with a single-digit standard deviation.

Sweet. I just started working with the same bullet in a new to me 06. Loaded up some superformance and will give it a try tomorrow.

What kind of velocities are you getting?

Right at 2675 out of a 24” barrel. Fast enough to get it done!

I've used Superformance in a 6.5 Creed, and I've had fantastic accuracy with it. I've thought about trying it in a 280AckImp, and a 7x57, and I've even seen some guys using it in their 338-06.

Well velocities weren’t what I had hoped for in the 30-06. I’ll save this stuff for my 243.

Works well in 300 wsm with 150s and 155s. 3400 fps very accurate.

It works great in my 270 Win with 140gr bullets at about 3040 FPS. It also works in my 7mm-08 with 140gr or 145gr bullets.

49.0gr Superformance, CCI-200 (or BR-2) 75gr Speer HP, COAL 2.590", in anybodies brass is a <1MOA load in three .243's and one .243AI that I have. This is the factory load (but with a Hornady 75gr HP) in Hornady's Superformance line of ammo.
It works splendidly on Coyotes out past 400 yards!

Can you elaborate on any info on the 338-06?

Just for fun.

I gave Superformane a try in the 338-06. I started with Rem brass, WLR primers and Sierra 225 bullets.
I loaded one round at each 55,56,57,58,59,60,61,62,63, and 64gr.

55gr. 2333 fps
64gr. 2600 fps

64 gr.filled the case to the base of the neck where the bullets were seated, no compression. All cases showed NO pressure signs and extracted with no problems.

The last 7 rounds went into 1.25" at 100 yards. This was with out working hard for precision. Scope is a Bushnell 4200 1.5x6 with firefly reticle and rifle is a Savage 110 with an E.R. Shaw barrel.

One word of caution from my experience with Superformance in my 6mm-06…

The smith that put my rifle together used it to work up a load and he gave me the data with the rifle. I duplicated his load and was blowing primers and fully locked up a Rem 700. Chrono showed there was 100+ fps difference in speed between my powder lot and his.

No idea if that level of variability is normal but I would be careful switching between powder lots without backing off significantly and working up again.

It has produced decent speed for me in my .30 Gibbs but no better then RL22. I am only using it because RL22 has been hard to find and my supply is dwindling.

BTW, H4350 shined in my 338-06 with 225 grainers.
