My wife's been watching a show about weddings. The couple meets for the 1st time at the alter. The show researches the applicants and pays for the wedding. Can you imagine getting married like that, having your wife picked by an unknown TV committee?

Pretty much everything in the MSM and entertainment industry, lest I repeat myself, is scripted to lead people to a desired conclusion. Sounds to me this is a program meant to demean and belittle the sanctity of marriage.

My wife says this one is about people who just never meet the right one. So, they sign up and they're screened to get rid of the ringers. Then they match them to someone else and they meet at the alter for the wedding. I haven't watched it other than wandering through but the women I saw were all 6 and higher. I haven't seen any that were fat or toads.
Would I try it if I was single? Not a chance in hell.
That said, this country was settled with many mail order brides. The early male colonists would take up land and build some kind of cabin, then write home to his family to find him a wife. Sometimes it worked but there were also disasters. Often they'd live together for years as common law couples simply because there were no ministers or priests to marry them legally. The women sometimes weren't informed of the real situation and it didn't work at all.

I had never heard of the show "Alone" until about 2 weeks ago. I binged watched the latest season, now I'm starting with the first season.
basically its people sitting around talking about how hungry they are , but I like seeing the ideas they come up with.
