Wellcamp is 500 bed and (will) cost QLD taxpayers $235M and did not meet federal requirements (location distance to airport and hospitals), and is an asset of a large private company (Wagner Corporation). $45M original payment by the government plus $150M leasing fees over a year to Wagner. QLD taxpayers just donated $200M worth of assets to Wagner.

I have no idea how Austrailia is doing as far as covid issues, sad to say.
But people in my area are pretty much over it. We seem to be having an uptick in cases over the last month, most folks either just "are sick" or home test. Only a few even talk to Medical Personnel.
I checked the date of the OP, thinking this was a year old.
Like I said, anyone with a mask is categorized as some city fool or a kook.
That said, we were at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh last week. The hospital monopoly that owns it requires masks on everyone. Wife and daughter knew that and found a dispenser, I completely missed it. Not even on my radar. Seeing all those masks pissed me off. They are never going to back off of that power to force compliance.
30 months ago we were told that only N95 masks had a chance of possibly being effective. And yet 2 1/ years later they require folks to put something, anything, over their face. Cheap paper, thin fabric.... There is absolutely no logical reason to do so.
And yet, with the exception of one hillbilly family I saw and myself, not a single person seen over 3 hours didn't 100% comply. Even watched 2 people sitting at a table drinking coffee, wearing masks. Moving the darn thing for every single sip, then putting it back.
