Ever get the feeling someone's being offered up as a sacrifice to kick off the war they all want and avoid the investigations to come?

Smells like she drew the straw and is this year's Franz Ferdinand. Could be. Regardless how we all feel about her, for better or WORSE, she is the Speaker of the House. Should her plane be brought down it's an act of war requiring an appropriate response. Basic problem is that Xi has made a threat. If Piglosi does indeed go to Taiwan, he is, in his mind he is obligated to do something drastic based on his threats. If he does nothing, or basically does diplomatic thing, he will lose face to his cohorts and the Chinese people. Losing face is, to an Asian, the worst thing that could happen. He would not be elected to his third term nor be elected as chairman of the CCP.
