Will the end of the road of diversity be a cul de sac of so many factions it will be impossible to govern them? Should we be encouraging homogenation and not diversity?

We don't need to work toward homogeny, we need to work toward unity. Strength has never been in diversity, it has always been in unity.

When your not positive what the motivation is for anything that you hear like "what's this diversity stuff about" the best guess is usually that it's the money.
The "leaders" of various groups have been living high off the hog now for a long time from skimming the largess off of handouts and donations. There is also a personal reward of power and TV face time.
Things in the USA are really split wide. Here in CT all of our Senators are liberal and only one congressman is conservative at all. And that's the way that the population votes. We have an attourney general here who is a clone of NY's Chuck Shumer and if he gets elected gov. which is quite possible we are going to have a police state on firearms.
I agree with AFP on unity but I don't see it happening. I see our current president becoming so liberal on some issues that it's as if it's over for us.
Racism is not a good thing nor is it to discriminate but go to any gathering and the woman and men separate and talk to each other etc, etc. Birds of a feather flock together.
The great strength of the USA is that the best and most adventurest people from many lands came here out of choice when it was very difficult to do so. Now that is not the case and the worst are favored and getting in and not going thru Ellis Island either.

Diversity is not a common human trait. Indeed, since tribalism people as a group, tend to stay with their own. This has not changed and will not change for a looooong time, until, like Brazil is slowly becoming, everyone is sort of a tan. Even then, cultural or societal differences will prevent mass melding.

We Canucks are trying multiculturism, but we don't have much choice. We just might pull it off, too. The other option is break up the country or civil war. Civil war can be painful.

If diversity equalled multiculturalism, we were already there. The problem is, while being spun as supporting the "Great American Melting Pot", it is in fact State supported racism. And will destroy this country.
Given the recent SC decision on the 14th, MERIT, the very thing that made America the greatest country in the history of the earth, was thrown in the trash.
Every immagrant group that came to this nation had their struggle to succeed, be they Catholic or Protestant, Jew or Gentile, Itaian, Greek, French, German, Irish, Brittish, Native American, Asian, etc,etc.etc. Some much harder struggles than others???? Not my decision to make for any other man. I'ld offer that Native Americans, Asains and Irish would have some pretty good arguements against the African American arguement. So why are they the only group receiving reparations?
This was the land of oppertunity, and hard work was rewarded.
The SC just changed the rules. We are no longer equal before the law. Certain groups have been selected as better or worse off, depending how you look at it, and will be given a government granted preferance at the expense of the others in society. And to the society as a whole.
If the meritoricly greatest med. students are not allowed in for a lesser student will we continue to have the world best health care? If the meritoricly best law students are omitted from law school for a lesser student, will we have the best legal or political furture? If the meritoricly best teaching student is omitted for a lesser student, who will be teaching future generations?
Diversity and the future of the USA? The final nail in the coffin. May the society that rises from the ruins learn from the mistakes of today.
America is (supposed to be) a Republic, NOT a democracy. Learn the difference, help end the lie. Fear a government that fears your guns.
