How many bullet threads do we have and they are all the fu cking same. Dozens, just like "What Scope For A Ruger No.1", but that isn't going to change. OP, I have had success with the Nosler 64 BSB and 65 Sierra GK, I prefer the Sierra as it was easy to get accuracy and previously was easy to find in stock. If you can't find them, look for the 64 Sierra TGK (Game Changer). Were you able to get the BSB's to shoot well?

Sniggly, it depends on what you call "well". I didn't think of the BSB as a varmint bullet that should do sub-moa, but as a big game bullet that will be OK at 1.25 or so. That will do for deer at any range I'll be shooting with a .223 if I do my part. Try lots of Varget.
I should add, I use ASC stainless mags in AR so I can load them longer than 2.260". CZ 527 mag accomodates longer COL too.
YMMV

I like the 65 grain SGK and the 60 grain Sierra HP for deer and varmint bullets in my AR's and bolt gun .223's. I load either over 27 grains of Varget, traditionally, but have come into some 748 and am trying it out. My rifles, by the way, are 7, 8 and 9 twist.

YMMV I'll go back through my book and check what I was pushing the BSB with, but I think it was CFE223. I recall, and I say that with trepidation and reservation, that the group sizes were 1.5" or larger. Dead animals won't know the group size, and I'll agree with your definition of 'shoots well' when framed in that manner, just didn't know if you were able to push it under an inch. . The 65 grain performs well in my gun, usually showing up under .800. I push that one with CFE as well. No Varget on hand.

65 Sierra is unquestionably an easier bullet to get accuracy with and kills our little deer down here quite well, it remains my favorite. I just can't help trying new stuff.

About crimping-I don't crimp for 223 AR's or bolt rifles & never had a problem. Yes, the 65 Serria is a dandy deer bullet, I have taken some nice bucks with them, but I've also taken deer with 55gr Hornady's.
I would have got him too but a Dad Blam snow flake hit me in da eye....

The only time I have seen bullets that probably should have been crimped was in some Remington.223 factory 50 grain HP loads. When I lived up north, I saw some on clearance at Walmart for less than what the brass was worth, so I cleaned them out. I was shooting them in a somewhat high end AR when, for some reason I had cause to eject an unfired round. The bullet had been pushed a significant distance into the case mouthβ¦enough to scare me. After that I limited their use to the bolt guns. They were pathetically inaccurate as well, shooting about an in and a half in a couple of quite accurate rifles.
