Hurricane Allen broke that heat wave! People in this neck of the woods know damn well the only way a drought gets broken is with a hurricane or tropical storm. And the Atlantic is eerily silent... despite the NHC saying "Very Busy Hurricane Season!" BS. They say that every single year.

Definitely has been pleasant by comparison to previous years.

Nice morning here in the Thousand Island's, 57 and sunny. Sure not looking forward to getting back to the heat in middle Georgia. Been nowhere near record heat this summer, it's just been hot. Just more liberals spouting crap and other liberals eating it up.

Think it was around 2006 when a 25" rain wiped out most of the Medina river bridges here in the county. I'd lucked out as I had 4 huge ugly ash piles on my property that I was contemplating paying someone to haul off. That rain took care of them.

That’s when they were worried that the SH 16 bridge on the Llano, in Llano was going to go! Exit. Sorry that was June 2007.
