I ordered a KLR 650 Adventure model today. Plan on getting it Saturday in Miles City.

Hope to get some riding in before the snowballs fly.

I want to get an adventure bike Yamaha Tenere and ride loops in Oklahoma. But long ways to trailer from Houston. Not many good Adventure bike riding this part of Texas. Maybe some day, have to sell out and move to Oklahoma but Biden Inflation making it hard to build a new house in another state.

Congrats!

I bought the 2022 camo klx300 4 months ago.

I’m having fun on it. It seems lighter and more maneuverable than the xr650l I owned before this one.

Be safe, have fun!

Kawasaki has been making that same motor for at least 30 years, 40 if you count the previous 600cc version.

Sorta ironic, the classic bikes now are Japanese and Indian.

They put fuel injection in the 2022 models. Easier battery access and few tweaks here and there.

Indian? WTH. That would explain how they kept the price point down. I was thinking ‘nam…..

I have no experience with that specific engine, but I've had a couple FI bikes, and it's a game changer for cold bloodedness.

IIRC KLR’s are now built in Thailand, could be wrong.

The India reference was to Royal Enfields, when that
company folded in England in the 60’s, all the tooling was bought out and moved to India.

And for the hunters....A few years back, Honda started making the classic trail bike again in 125cc. The Ct125.

They're almost impossible to find, and pricey for being so small. I was looking into getting one last month. About $4500 out the door, with a several month long waiting list from any dealer within about 50 miles of here.

I hope that Honda at least kept the automatic clutch on those 125’s because they lost the two best features, the high and low range transmission and the manual kick starter. The automatic clutch on the old 90’ and 110’s wouldn’t snub like a dirt bike with a manual clutch. Also an electric start only woods bike with a weak battery will leave you in a lurch if you can’t bump start it.

It will still start if you have another to pull it with.

Camp is where you make it.
