The third one causes me to question if it is correct. China using Taiwan, it's incredible talent pool, manufacturing expertise, highly skilled labor force "as a springboard to the west". Not so very long ago, Hong Kong was the banking, trade and most dynamic financial jewel in the eastern hemisphere, in a very short time the communists have managed to screw that up...royally. Much, much smarter people than I say we have nothing to fear from PRC long term. They WILL destroy everything they touch eventually...that's Communism (and liberalism). About all we have to fear are irrational bursts of temper when the ruling elite feel the foundations crumbling.

Not really. It's not unusual for the Speaker and other Congressional members to visit foreign countries. Newt did the same as speaker. Went to Taiwan. The CCP screamed about it then. Newt knew how to deal with them. Check it:
