Adjust your grip based on where the dot is at the apex of your draw/presentation. When it is there 100% of the time you are ready for the range.

It is very humbling.
How did I ever hit anything before? My grip absolutely sucked.
Work to do.

Yes, there are Trijicon 3 dot irons, but not suppressor height. Not trying to cheat with 'em.

I’ve been back and forth on red dots on a carry gun for a couple of years anyway. Been plugging along and finally got comfortable with it.

Shot a match a few weeks ago and screwed up the first stage costing me 20 seconds over the fastest time. (Falling plates and shooting low taking multiple shots to clear them) Got to the second stage and had a really good run. But the third stage was an 18 plate plate rack with different colors you shot from corresponding boxes. The dot was on and it almost felt like the gun was shooting itself. Both eyes open and focused on the target array and the dot just floating onto the next plate. I’m sold on the dot.

You will end up shooting better than ever.

Even when you go back to irons.

Yes.

Mine has fallen well short.

Again, sample of one and I will likely be sending this back for warranty.

Any updates? I'm interested to hear what Holosun's response was and how your SCS is holding a charge after warranty service. (I really want these to work so I can justify buying one!)

Waders,

I have been dragging my ass on this but it should go out Monday. Holosun's warranty service seems pretty straight forward and streamlined. I e-mailed the S/N and they reply with an automated form that you fill out electronically and submit.

After that they send you a pre-paid shipping label and back it goes.

I'll post lead time and what they do to remedy the problem when it is resolved.

Does not hold a charge.

Eight hours of direct sunlight is giving about one day’s worth of carry.

They’ll get those political prisoners to whip you up a new one, it’ll be in the mail shortly.

Then, sell it.

Bluedreaux,
Is Production class pretty dead where you shoot? I've been looking at USPSA near me and the Production class seems to be pretty much 1-5 people per match. Carry Optics is booming however.

Super dead. Carry Optics has more competitors than all other divisions combined. They really need to restructure all of the divisions.

Right now I'm not in any position to shoot Carry Optics. I could do Production or Limited Minor if I bought a few bits and pieces.

I'll probably end up shooting Production class anyhow even if I'm the only one it'll be a skills test. I'd like to shoot some Steel Challenge matches too, but the closest is about 100 miles each way. 3 different monthly USPSA are are 25-45 minutes.

UPDATE:

HoRosun only took three months to get me an optic that works (for now.)

And I had to badger them before they did so.

Currently running well.
