I have a house for hunters looking for lodging to hunt pheasants.

This will be a good year for the birds as the winter was easy and the holdover numbers are high.

I have several guys on here who have hunted from my place and still do.

It's reasonably priced and very comfortable. I have a good facility for your dogs to be comfortable.

**Summer Update**


There was a good number of pheasants which held over from 2021 season.


The hatch was excellent due to favorable weather and nesting conditions.


We had good precipitation which helped produce grasshoppers and insects that the little birds feed on.


Large numbers of young birds are being seen this summer by my friends who live there. First hatch chicks are doing well. There are also smaller chicks telling us that hens which lost their nest or broods re-nested for a second hatch.


This fall will be an excellent hunting season. I'm very excited and optimistic.

October 29- Nov 2 --- 2 available --- $700 per person (includes 3 meals per day)

Just to add to your report,

Friends in the Presho area are also seeing good numbers of birds as well as up around Britton and Watertown. The latter isn't the best there is but it isn't bad.

Other friends are talking excitedly about the Carthage area. The last time I hunted that area with them, a couple years ago, 14 of us took only 117 birds which was down from the norm and it meant hunting all day to get those birds. It was definitely a time to be following the dog rather than being a blocker. in more normal times the blockers get decent shooting too.

This map was recently released. The areas we hunt are not affected by any drought.

Thanks for the positive responses about my house and the service I provide. I worked hard putting lots of thought and effort to make a destination guys would enjoy coming to. I have been rewarded for my efforts since I have many repeat guys coming to stay at my house. We have become friends over the years. Good times are had by all.
