Up for sale is a Browning BAR in 7MM Remington magnum. Has a bear on one side of the receiver and a bighorn sheep on the other, even has engraving on the trigger guard and mag. I'm not a BAR expert, does this mean its a Mark II? This was a relatives elk rifle, though he had a full custom that he used the vast majority of the time it has been hunted and has a couple honest hunting marks, see the pictures. Has what I would call an above average piece of wood. Comes with rings and bases as pictured. $849 plus $60 for shipping and insurance.

That’s a Type 1, Grade 2, with simple factory engraving made in Belgium from 1967-1977. Well actually the 7mm wasn’t introduced in 1968.

The mk2s came out in 1993 and have a bolt release on the discharge side.

GLWS. Seems priced to move (you’re below market value but there are bluing issues on the barrel and front sight, along with the missing hood). New in 1968 they were $270.

A true classic. Besides a BAR there are few options for a semi 7mm Rem Mag. My 270 win BAR is amazingly accurate.

I’m not a BAR expert but I believe that’s an early gun; I think by the early 70s they went to the gold trigger. Seems like a good price for a Belgian classic.

But later models are assembled in Portugal. Belgium made and assembled are more desirable
