I have for sale a used Smith & Wesson model 25-5 revolver in .45 Colt with 8 3/8" barrel. Lockup, timing, etc. are all spot-on. No push-off of hammer at full-cock. Bore and cylinder/chambers are also excellent. Finish issue on the right side of barrel, where it looks like it laid in a factory presentation too long, please see last picture. Also, tiny flecks of rust on cylinder that should come off. No box or anything else. I'd like $1250 shipped insured from my FFL to your FFL. Thank you for looking.

This would make a good candidate for a chop to 5".

I am interested in the 6 inch you have.. Are you interested in any trades? I have a 1978 model 27-2 6 inch with case and extras for sale. Do you have box or anything with 6 inch? If you might like a trade let me know and I'll call you or you can call me.

I've never carried an 8 3/8" revolver, but I would think it would be - awkward. 5" is perfect.

Criminal to chop that 8&3/8" revolver. It's a rare one.

If the price were lower I'd buy it in a NY minute.

What a great hunting revolver !

Here are pictures of the 6" 25-5 for $1250 shipped. It's in 99% condition having been fired very little (1 box). All lock-up and timing are spot on, as well as NO push-off of the hammer at full cock. Its serial # range is N939xxx, 1983 production.

I have. 5” is PERFECTO. I’d be damn tempted to chop it. 🤠

It’s definitely a beautiful N Frame, as is, though.
