Finished the melt this afternoon. Ballpark numbers: 100# of zinc/iron, 50# pure from stick on weights and about 150# of WW. Maybe 30# of clips after the melt. I’m set for a spell.

I am..........disturbed.

I recently moved but a buddy dropped off a bucket of weights from my old tire shop connection. I just finished sorting them and it looks like my 60 something % of lead is going to be down in the 50 something % range. Maybe I'm different but I rather enjoy sorting weights. These were free except that I'll take them some donuts the next time I'm down that way.

I look back with nostalgia on the days when local tire shops kept me in WW's for free or at most a $20 bill for a bucketful. My ex-wife used to harp at me for stacking them around the house, not to mention the voluminous smoke clouds that eminated from the big pot when I rendered them into ingots. (Notice I said "ex" wife?! grin )

I can't remember the last bullet casting session.
Still have about 800# of lead and 20-1 mix. Plus a 5 gallon bucket of lynotype.
Maybe I will start shooting the Trapdoor again?
