Dropped a couple of bids for a pair or pre D&T 300 Savage 99s.
Pics were so dark, I thought they were R models.
Turns out both are RS models.
One has Weaver bases on it but will make a nice shooter for somebody.

Think I'll keep the one with bases and sell the unmolested one.

Share a picture of both before you let them go, if you can. Always like to see 99's!

wow, what a gem! I need a serial number to put in the logs. I only have 4 RS in 250 with "3-point" checkering. I'm guessing you are between 344,2xx and 345,8xx??

Rick, I have a 250-3000 RS at 342,600 in my data. Slightly customized with a G&H mount, but had the RS studs and tang screws from a removed peep sight so it seems likely it was an RS.

Also the earliest RS on the list. oldest one in my records also, which I think I mentioned to Roy last night. Next closest I had was 343,7xx and listed as a "possible" RS Rory's record would definitely top that though.
