I walk away from all this about 40 lbs lighter. I have no stamina, no hair, and no appetite.

Next steps: I see the surgeon on Wednesday, but I suspect he will concur with the oncologist. After that, I'm heading to the farm for the first visit since Turkey Season in April.

Shaman do me a favor and pray for my neighbor lady, she's going in for a double mastectomy the 17th.

Those words were prophetic. I made it to the BMV all right. I had about a 20 minute wait. Everything went to plan-- no problems getting the license. However, I lost steam in the parking lot. Yikes! When the batteries run down, they run down.

KYHillChick and I decided to retire to a nearby Chinese restaurant. That wasn't such a hot idea. We ended up taking our order to go, and I spent the rest of the day in the recliner.

I'm gaining ground. A month ago, I couldn't make it 10 feet across the hospital room. My guess is the next month or so is going to have a lot of days like this.

I'm now thinking about putting off my trip to the farm. There is no sense going down there and just being a burden.

I've got a trip to the surgeon today. He will probably endorse what the oncologist said. Moose has volunteered to take me. I'll get to introduce him to the guy who cuts your nuts off for a living.

Great news Shaman, now for a swift and complete recovery. Deer season will be here before you know it and maybe you can get that moose fella to drag your deer out for you.

I went to the surgeon today. He pretty much underwrote what the surgeon said.

Nobody is saying I'm cancer free, but it's looking like the Chemo did its job.

Whew! Now I just have to get my strength back. That's looking to be a harder slog than what I originally imagined.
