Job's been getting to be less fun and more of a job. Been talking to the wife. Talked to our financial guy just now and he says I can retire anytime and expect to get 120% of our monthly expenses in income.

So, baring a getting hit by an errant drone, looks like sometime early next year.

Got a trip planned to look for new diggs in the Utah/Arizona/Nevada region.

Best news I've had today.

Well dang, that's good news here today!

If you come down through eastern OR and pass by this way, give me a holler.

We were going to drive down and hit the Alvord and Steens. Still a little ways from you.

Since I started bitching plans changed. Flying to Vegas then over to Mesquite and St. George.

So, you'll make more retired than now? No-brainer on that one. You 60 yet?

You know what makes retirement even more fun? When your wife decides to go back to work. I love her and miss her, but I find I can get a lot more done when she's not here.

Just wait, you'll wonder how you ever got anything done at home when you were working.

No. I make a good amount but I save a lot. We'd be able to cover 100% of our expenses plus another 20% if we wanted with our retirement income, forever.

Will be 63 next June.

What the hell are you waiting on?

In December of 1980, my dad had over 40 years service.
"Dad, why don't you just go ahead and retire?"
"Marty, If I retire now, I pay 75% of my health insurance and the company pays 25%. If I retire at 61, the company pays 75% and I only have to pay 25%."

He would have turned 61 on August 1, 1981. He passed away in June 1981.

The day he died, I swore that the instant I could retire, I was out!
No waiting for me.
If you can retire and don't, think of the things you'll miss out on and the time you missed out with friends and family!

Don't delay!
Retire today!

Remember to do this, on your last day......when you walk out of the office/shop, for the last time....walking across the parking lot, to your rig. STOP for a moment. Look up and let the sunshine on your face, and let it start to sink in, that never again will you be doing what you don't want to be doing, or when you don't want to do it! From now on, it's all about you!

I pulled the plug 5 years ago, the only down side is......IF you think time flew by before, just wait until you retire!!!
