This girl separated herself from the pack when she saw the big dogs fetching in the pool… physically and in standing! After this video, she went back in several times and even did a pretty complete water retrieve!

She has about 3 suitors who claim to be interested, but she and 4 others are still available! (13 weeks.)

All of them have the potential to love water, none of them fear it, and all of them revel in it when I give them a cool bath in this heat... but this one pretty much introduced herself!

The key to introducing a pup to water is to keep it happy and exciting. No forcing, no fear. Once they do it, they're hooked! (If you force and introduce fear, then you've set yourself back from hours to months, depending on the trauma level for theat particular puppy.)

Little girl was back at it again today, but this time she was joined by Red/Green (already reserved) and Brown Boy (available.) No pushing or forcing, not even asking them to come in, just leaving it up to them!

Been spending the afternoons with the big dogs, still in group training, but learning so much in the big yard! Pecking order, stairs, adventuring, playing with toys, sprinklers/wading pool/big pool, etc. (Brown Boy even tore off after a hapless dove who inexplicable landed in the dog yard!)

They’re loving it, after three days of it they’re anxious to go, and pleading to go back!

Little girl (available), Red/Green (reserved), Brown Boy (available), and Leia’s Boy (available) have shown the most confidence in the big pool.

I’m doing an Auburn (from Selah) run Thursday, if anyone on that side of WA wants to go ahead and pull the trigger on one of the 5 that remain. (I’ve already got two going on that ride!)

Then I’m taking a fishing trip to Canada to stand in a friend’s wedding, so the pups will be babysat by some of my kids.

When I get back in August, I’ll start in on individual training. They’ll advance fast, as all the reports I’m getting on these pups are all coming from really, really happy and excited new owners! The conditioning is paying off! They’re listening!
My only concern about one on one training the remaining pups is them bonding with me - something I’ve been intentionally avoiding. They can forget, and re-bond with a new owner, that’s done all the time with doggie boarding schools, but it’s one more thing that I think isn’t ideal. You taking your own dog from the litter and training it yourself is (imho) by far the best long-term scenario.

The price will negotiate - up - as I transition these babies to one on one training.

Back from Vacation... found the river-fly-eating Cutts in Central Alberta... during the last three hours of our time up high! mad (If anyone wants to escape the heat and feed Canadian mosquitoes, I can steer you to the fly fishing!)

Anyway, I've made a series of "Introductory Leash Training" videos, and 5 of them are specific to the pups still available, so I'll post them here.

16 weeks now, price is still 800m/1000f, negotiable/trades, but generally goes up $100 per week that they are trained daily (starting this week.)

They're socializing, and conditioning beautifully, and individual training has started!

Turquois Collar - Smaller Female.

Happy, sweet, loving, and pretty fearless! Loves the water!

Pink Collar - Larger female

Gentle, sweet, calm, smart...will need a gentle hand, but will REALLY thrive if she gets that!

Black Collar - Leia's boy

Great trainability and intensity - Really good attitude!

Blue Collar - Bella's Boy

Very sharp, excellent potential, attentive, he's a good one!

Red Collar - Bella's Boy

Leader of the pack, listens, needs strong leadership, but the sky is the limit if he gets it. Super intelligence!

These babies are available right now, there is no "end date" on their conditioning, it's just lifestyle that YOU pick up from here.

I honestly believe earlier is better, because I think there's tremendous power in the bonding, and the longer I train, the more they'll have to break with me, and bond with you.

But if you can't train yourself for some reason, they will get sharper and sharper, so it's a trade off! After manners and obedience are firmly established, I'll be incorporating retriever field/test training into the mix as a natual advancement/transition.

I'll take deposits to hold, and charge for train/board as mentioned above.

Black collar boy is lying down on command! (Other three are as well, but with reminders and repetition. Black collar boy is doing it hands free while on the leash!)

They have gate respect, they know they’re supposed to keep all fours on the floor, they wait for food release, they’re comfortable with water (most of them swimming), they know “back (up/away)”, they’ve all got “sit” “come” “heel” 100% locked down, and black collar is the first finisher on “(lie) down!”

Three boys, and one girl available! 16weeks.

I have one of these pups in NC... and one in VA... But it takes an extra $500 or so for Alaska air cargo and the vet bills.

These 4 pups are still available. 17weeks. Started. Beginning some field related play.

Been out for a combat fetching session… not really to train anything, just to observe these 4 during their first exposure to the retrieve.

They watched their mom/grandma do a few, but when they were let out with her, she would back off and not perform. Bella does NOT compete!

Then we went out and just played… with communication. Got some consistent results. These results can give some great insights into these pups’ individual personality and training style:

Blue Collar Boy: Consistently finished the fetch. Don’t know if he “got it” for sure (I did praise the beans out of him every time) but he delivered all but one time. And I only picked up the pool attempt that they didn’t see, so only two he didn’t get, he finished the rest. He was combat fetching, and enjoying the competition, but it did seem like he understood what the game was!

Black Collar Boy: When they’d all rush out and attack the fetching dummy, I’d let them get it, and start moving with it, then I’d vocalize for their attention. Black collar boy would immediately break off the fight and come to heel. (I’d praise him for “come”ing to my call while the rest continued the combat fetch.) Absolutely the best ‘recall’ of the bunch, without question! Was definitely interested in the fetch, but he heard my voice and broke off.

Red Collar Boy: Happy and aggressive in the combat fetching. Made one of the retrieves. Recalled with black collar once. Loved the play session. Didn’t do any one thing consistently, but did everything at least once! None of the others did everything like he did.

Pink Collar Girl: Typically subordinated, but loved the play time. Got to the bird first or second every time, but then she’d let it go. Team-fetched with Blue once. Looked like she was going to finish a fetch once but one of her brothers took it away at the last minute. Very likely going to be like her grandma Bella, who is a great performer but refuses to compete.

Took the three remaining kids out for a normal one on one session this morning, Sit in the pen, come, sit outside the pen, heel, sit, heel, sit, lie down, kennel (in crate), sit (in crate), play or fetch with toy, sit, heel, sit, lie down, sit, hold the sit while I walked away, long distance come, sit, hold the sit until I go into the play yard, call them into the play yard….

Slightly shorter version of the normal morning routine, only this time…

OFF LEASH!!!!!!

They all did great! Very little correction!

Black Collar Boy has gone to his new home now too!

Sweetheart pink collar girl found another fan, mamma was in love with her, but daddy wanted black collar boy so she is still available.

Blue Collar Boy was fetching to heel and delivering to hand - - off leash - - this morning! He’s still available and I hope to get some video of fetch training with him before one of you guys snaps him up!
