I have seen lots of videos of US citizens that have lived for years or moved to EU and then came back again.

Many of them are talking about the food quality.. higher quality food with less additives and processing.

They experience less problems with pasta, bread, pizza over in in EU.
Less chemicals in everything and basically no beef, pork or chicken that is stuffed full of hormons, bleaching etc...

Many of their "food allergies" disappears when they started eating the same food in Europe.
And many said they lost weight as well, because they ate less but better food.

The US in the last 40 years:

Socialism for big corporations and military industrial complex

&

Rugged individualism for the individual.

The sedentary lifestyle,, combined with poor food choices, also... people have a need to soothe themselves and others with treats, seemingly to repair some kind of pain in their life.

The phycology of eating and drinking, is something that needs to be addressed by some people I notice.

When in my youth we were everyday playing hockey, running the bush, riding our bikes, fishing at the creek, then back playing hockey again on the ponds or street....just try and stop us.

I'm 60, 5'11" 205lbs, not overweight and still work my azz off. I'm afraid to slow down for fear of losing my health.

All my high school friends and their wives that are still alive fall into the same category as far as weight vs height.

I know of no fat boomers in my circle.

That's like saying I don't know any queers, therefore queers don't exist.

X'ers and Boomers currently have a higher obesity prevalence than millennials with a higher propensity among X'ers.

Your justify your stance by quoting the CDC.

Bewahahaha, funny schit right there.

Yeah, there is a grand conspiracy to fudge the statistics to make boomers look fat.

You're too stupid to be alive, [bleep] boomer.

I didn't read the thread but it's obviously diet and not burning enough calories is the correct answer. This schit ain't hard.

There were fat kids when I was young, but not very many. Genetics definitely plays a role but it's more about lifestyle than any other thing... although I'm not sure if I could possibly have ever gotten fat. I dunno, fugk it.

Kids are slugs these days, all I did in my youth is burn calories.

Mama used to say “that boy duddn’t eet enuff to keep a bird alive”

My grandmother was a big hotshot RN-BSN, Dir of Nursing…. Was gonna come up from Clearwater deliver some fuggin anabolic, hgh, or some crap.

The issue was my dad did’nt make much money as an enlisted soldier.
He went to OCS and then to flight school.

We started eating sirloin steak 2-3 times a weak. !!!

I gained about 25 lbs 🤠

Steak was a rarity at our house. I used to love to go to the grandparents place because there was a great chance I'd get to eat steak. It seemed so foreign, so extravagant.

I’m 70, 5’11” 212 pounds, and definitely overweight, but no longer obese. Trying for 180.

Congratulations on beating the system. What we learn from your circle in terms of not falling in to the trap of Sugar & high fructose corn Syrup snuck in to the majority of the "food" offered in our grocers? Sounds like your community is doing something right. Fair to say we could do well to learn from the few community's in our country that are promoting a positive future for our youth. Sorry to say for young & old of the majority of us in the USA we are well on our way to overwhelming our health care system with our poor choices with lifestyle.

Id start off with it is not the Fat, people. Dr Lusting does well in terms of Identifying where we went wrong with diet. Our activity or, lack their of Is another huge part of our serious problem young & old. Electronics in practice have done much more harm than good.

Should add that we ate a TON of deer. Dad would shoot several every year. I remember most of it being tough and gamey. Blech.
