Been playing bean bag for over 30 years at fish and elk camp. Homemade boards, covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. Board is sectioned off with lines by points, low 1/3 is 1 point, middle is 2pts, top is halved again, left quadrant is 3pts, right 4pts, hole is 5pts. 21pts is winner. You can have singles or partners one on each end. Highest score at the moment throws 1 bag first, everyone else throws in point order, only last bag on a number gets it, all others are covered, unless there's only 2 bags from the same thrower then they get both. If a player throws a 2 and gets covered then throws another 2 on the second bag, they just get the last pts.
33 feet apart hole to hole.
Played for money and it can get frustrating throwing lots of points but getting covered constantly, mean game.
Seen cornhole once and it looked like a kids game.

So a hole in one is 5 pts? Even if somebody else pushes you in? Any points for an “assist”????
When I hear it, reminds me of that old joke about the Indian at the trading post;
"Money hole up front, cornhole in the back!"
Founder Ancient Order of the 1895 Winchester
"Come, shall we go and kill us venison? And yet it irks me the poor dappled fools, Being native burghers of this desert city, Should in their own confines with forked heads Have their round haunches gored."

You can be pushed in if you are hanging, or if hanging enough bouncing the board by another bag may get it in... but... if the bag is hanging and I drag it in, with mine going in, it's covered. I've seen 3 or 4 bags hanging get drug in by one bag, all are covered, thrower gets the 5 points, unless it's his own bag then he gets 10pts if last in. Also you can be hanging on an edge and get knocked off into the dirt, any part of a bag touching dirt is no points, mostly for a 1 point bag as the front of the board is on the ground.
One of my neighbors makes custom bags for this. They have lights in their back yard and play/product test and develop almost every night until about ten pm.
