As the pecan trees here are beginning to fruit, the squirrel population in the back yard has exploded. With 40+ acres of hardwoods backing up to my property, it’s a squirrel factory.
So this morning I got some newbys hitting my trees and bird feeders. My morning is off to a happy start.
After the first one is on the ground, his buddy comes over to attack is quickly cooling body. Followed by a second male seeing an opportunity to attack his two deceased mates. Within 1-2 minutes three treerats have been dispatched. The hawks and vultures will be eating well today.
I’ve seen animals attack their fallen comrade, but not two follow-on attacks. Hope my luck continues.

The spotted ground squirrels here will do that, too if you get into a big den of them. They'll come out and start gnawing on the dead ones a minute or two after the shot.

Mine seem to like lead. They're always begging for it.

You mean ground squirrels? Without bushy tails?
