Any recommendations for a good scope that would work well with standard height rings on a 452? Looking for something proportional, don't want large objective etc. Want to stay with a 1 inch tube. Would be happy with top end of 4 or 6X.

I don’t have a scope recommendation but the standard height 452 rings are fairly tall if I remember right. I know that they are on the CZ 527 line. I have medium height rings on a 527 with a 40mm scope because they were all that I could get at the time and they’re a lot taller than I’d like.

Thanks. A friend has an old Nikon scope on his and it's way better then what I have on mine (old
Leupold).
