I was given some of these to try from my 375 H&H, a couple of boxes.

Anyone here use them? How'd that work out?

Thanks, Guy

Hello Guy, i have not, but the guys from Hammer have a few videos on youtube hunting African animals, iirc one of them uses a big 338 or 375 of some sort, twisty scopes and the whole nine yards, you may find some real world results there.

Thanks. I'll take a look. Not much into twisting scope knobs though. smile

I've used the 220 Hammer Hunter in my 35 Whelen on deer. Very accurate and inflicts large devastating wounds.

I’m getting ready to load some 248’s. Have you shot any yet? I’m going to give RL-15 and Varget a try.

Not yet... I was considering Varget & RL-15 as well. Both of them have worked well with the 260 grain Nosler Accubond from my rifle.

CFE223 is a powder you should try in the 375 H&H.

I like RL-15 with that bullet in my 375 Ruger, or I should say the rifle likes it because what I like does not matter.

RL-15 was my old favorite in the .375 H&H with 250-gr Sierra GameKing
and even worked great with the old 300-gr X-Bullet.
The latter is what I took to Botswana in 2001.
Nowadays I would prefer Varget,
or CFE-223 as suggested by jwp475.
CFE-223 will likely get you higher velocity at lower pressure.
Good luck finding powders nowadays.
Any of those three should do.

I've had great results using H-414 under the 250 SGK's in a .375 Weatherby. Might be another one you'd wanna try.

I’ll have to try CFE-223. I have a bunch of it. I shoot it in 6x6.8 SPC, .243 LBC and 6mm ARC.
