I like them, have 5 or 6. You get a lot of performance without much recoil. If I had to get down to one deer cartridge, I’d pick a 7 Rem Mag.

I have two, a custom Win 70 and a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in a McMillan stock, the 7mm RM is a personal favorite.

I need to dig them out, two Sako’s, a 798 Remington, a 700 Classic, a C grade 700. I guess I have 5, my favorite for sure, 30-06 is second.

I have one and like it. But it's more than I need for the way I hunt deer.

I’m down to only one. It might have a little more power than most need. But I’ve always said you can’t kill ‘em to dead.

I have a BAR in 7Rmag. When my dad and grandad took me to buy my own rifle in 1974 all the gun shop had that was Browning (and it HAD to be a Browning) was 3 BAR’s. 2 in 300 Win mag and a 7RMag. I was quite the stud at school being only 14 and toting a Browning 7Rmag that was MINE. Heavy but boy did it lay them down.

I had one of those too, but too much of a good thing. The model 70 is about the perfect weight. Puzzy cats to shoot. The Tikka, not so much..

Love mine. It’s a BDL the came from the custom shop. Bought it from a friend to re barrel but shot the donor. I have loads for 140, 150 and 160 gr bullets that will consistently cut ragged holes. That rifle is only second to my 25’s. It will never leave my safe as it has taken some of my best trophies. Thinking of have another one built on a 700.
Nothing in North America I wouldn’t hunt with one.

I have one, a Remington BDL Stainless, I purchased for an elk hunt in the late 90's and I did take a 6x5 bull with it, my first elk. I have not hunted with it since although I did put it in a McMillan stock and mounted a S&B Precision Hunter 3-12x42 scope on it.

3.

A pre-Garcia I bought in 88 to hunt out west. Used it for several years, it hasn't seen sunlight in 20 years.

A Tikka T3 Hunter bought from a guy who won it. Unfired. Still.
17 years later.

A 77. Left Hand.😁😁😁😁(I ain't)
Had it about 13 ysars.

Great round. Like it.

But the Sako was replaced by a lighter 300. Now I have no need of that
kind of firepower. (Never did, honestly)

Why shoot the Tikka? And a lefty Ruger? 😎

Just one for deer would be (is) a T3 7mm-08.

Don’t need a magnum to kill deer.

For me if I had one for deer: .243, .25-06, 7-08 or .270.

One for everything: 7MM RM or .300 Mag (paired with a .375 or .416 of course!)

I had a 7 mag. Rem 700 CDL SF. Put it in a mcmillan game hunter stock and sold it to my buddy. He still uses it all the time. I prefer my 243

Really? I thought it would be a kicker, but I put a Limbsaver pad on it and I swear it’s like shooting my 7 x57 Mauser. Not hard kicking at all. 😎

Got one and took a bunch of stuff with it a long time ago. If it's just for deer than it's very mucho overkillo. For less money an 308win or 270win are less costly to run even these days.
