Anybody seen one or know what they will retail for?
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Looks really nice with lots of needed upgrades. I also wonder what this is going to retail for. If it's more than a Kimber Hunter than forget it.

Can someone tell me. What about it is a Remington 700? Seems to me they changed everything that made it a Rem 700. And I'm sorry but those AG composite stocks are ugly AF.

people complained about the old remington ....now they make improvements and people complain about the new one
that ag stock looks pretty much like every other fiberglass stock to me they do make some other models that are pretty ugly so agree with that

Never had an AD, never had a bolt handle fall off, accuracy was always acceptable.

Either I didn't understand or Spomer said that he did NOT like having the bolt to be able to cycle when on SAFE. To me, since I prefer an ADL type rifle, I like that feature as that's absolute safest way to unload the rifle and magazine; either way with a round in the chamber, having to put the rifle to FIRE to unload, seems less safe. Maybe he should ask them for a 3-way safety.

The complaint with Remington -- aside from the safety recall shenanigans -- had nothing to do with design. It was how they cheaped out on everything. The bluing at the end was comically bad. Fit and finish atrocious. The bolt jeweling might as well not have been there.
People would have paid the same $900 they do for a M70 FWT for a *nicely finished* M700 CDL... hell, they pay MORE for the old ones on GB as I type. Instead they got SPS 700, 770, 783, etc.

(I also assume they wanted a break in design to escape from any assumptions they would support previous 700s with parts, etc.?)

I was plenty happy with a 700, this one sounds like it has all the flatbill/Sitka gear options. I’m pretty gunned up, but the flatbill crowd better hope it’s not too expensive, they need to save $$$ for tags 👊🏻
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

If they had the same barrel specs as Fieldcraft, they might have a winner. Looking like a big fat loser though

Maybe he should ask them for a 3-way safety. With an ADL there is absolutely no need to run the rounds through the chamber to unload. To unload an ADL in the safest manner possible.....simply push the bolt forward until the round is picked up out of the magazine then retract the bolt and pull the "loose" round out with your fingers. A round NEVER needs to make it into the chamber.

wow I dont think anything would make some of you happy and you just like to bitch about things Seems you're mad that someone doesn't like what you like? I'm not trying to be a diiick but... First day on the internet? The issue I have is this....the few complaints people had about the 700 the alpha model fails to address. They seem to have changed the entire rifle to where...it's not even a Remington 700 any longer. It may be an awesome rifle, but a 700 it is not.
