Not sure if this is the same Fox I have spotted on the farm three different times. Today got close, stopped the tractor and took a couple photos. Could have taken the 22-250 out of the hard case and shot him, but fox are pretty scarce around here the last few years. RARELY EVER see a Red Fox here in N TX. Lots of grays here. Most of the Reds I’ve seen have been when I was hunting in the Rockies.

When I was growing up, there were a lot of red foxes around here, then they got scarce, supposedly because of the coyotes moving in. I went a number of years and never saw one. Lately though, there has been a resurgence in the red fox population. I have them on trail cam quite often. We don't have many grays, only a few of them around.

We have a few reds around. As mentioned, coyotes take most of the kits every year
