OP triple_deuce Campfire Regular Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,454 Glen Lyon Pa.	I picked up this Savage washing machine this morning and was wondering if there is a way to date it. I know a few of you Savage nuts have one or a couple in your collections. My plan is to put a plastic barrel in it to use as a beverage cooler. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. I think they made them at Utica clear up to the late 40's or early 50's, even after Utica stopped making guns. Nice grab! “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. First patent I saw was filed in 1923, the first spin dry washing machine. I have 2 washer plaques (assume rest of machine scrapped?) with 89994 and 16298. The lower number has "Patent apllied For" in different location. Numbers 16298 and 89994 would indicate Savage made a bunch of these. Bruce
