I wonder if this will stick better than the DPMS G2 models?
Now with even more aplomb

Hey Ruger, you screwed up on this one. At this point in time if your making an AR type rifle that's new at this price point it needs to have real ambi safety, mag and bolt release controls or its not up to the times. The product development folks at Ruger should understand this.

I believe Rugers have a 40% failure rate in our classes. I wouldn’t trust a Ruger 556, much less a 762.

I own 2 AR15s. A Ruger MPR and a Colt 6920. I have a lot more trigger time on the Ruger. I've yet to have a malfunction with the MPR..... My colt on the other hand has hiccuped a few times. I trust both but it is what it is.

My Ruger MPR is dead nuts reliable in 5 years of plinking and predator calling. It's a very accurate rifle.
Ruger's SR762 had a great record I thought....wonder why they are adding a DI rifle to an already successful, piston platform.
I'm just dipping my foot in now to the AR308 game, I went with Christensen. So far, it's all good.

My understanding is that the SR762 has been discontinued.
edit: yes, it's gone from the catalog.

I saw a pic of the earlier bolt carriers & they were pitiful. Why they cut one that way is a mystery. To save 50 cents worth of material or machine time?

Basically, they're just carelessly built. Like all budget ARs. Just checked the list. 4 out of 11 Rugers and 3 out of 7 Saints have had significant problems. Free float rails coming off, misaligned rails, constant double feeds (gassing related), misaligned gas tube holes in the receivers….. Just a bunch of problems because they’re built for hobby use.
