I only use Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash from LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. It leaves my beard shiny and clean and touchably soft thanks to the natural and organic ingredients of pineapple juice, almond oil and jojoba oil,
and cupuaçu butter. It’s got a light citrusy scent of Brazillian orange oil that boosts my mood, plus the recycled container that it comes in can be returned to LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics where they’ll recycle it again, which is oh so important.

Same soap that is used for my hair.

I used Head and shoulders for a long time but have changed over the last 2 years.

Use old spice Pure Sport now body wash and shampoo.

I use the same. Shave my head so the beard and mustache get Pure Sport Body Wash soap when I shower.

Zest soap, same as the rest of me. But...have wondered about some beards being smooth & trimmed well. Likely some wax or oil afterward.

But I done got old & fat so WGAF.

2 in 1 wash & tame

I have greasy hair so I use pretty heavy duty shampoo that I wouldn’t want to use on my face for fear it’d dry my face out. Then I oil it keeps it from getting dried out and pokey.

Whatever nature left on my head gets shaved
at the same time the areas of my face get shaved.
Top of head and tips of toes and all in betweens
get whatever is applied to the other areas.
I've used shower/bath gels, and have some on
hand now, but IMO they don't rinse off as easily
as plain bar soap. I never apply oil to my facial hair
for any reason especially after working to get the
cootys out of it.

Semi related- the bean counters at the factories
that make the soaps I utilize cut the bars down
from a little over 4 ounces to a little over 3 ounces
a while back.
I noticed the bath/shower gels are a good bit
more watery now
Oh well. . .

First time in Colorado (1975), I almost freakin' froze!
Grew my first beard the following September.
I don't grow a beard overnight like you double Y chromosome apes! LOL! Takes me about 3 weeks to get it where it can be trimmed, shaped and looking good(?).
My beard grows sideways. Left to right, so it always looked lopsided.
Decided once to just keep the beard year round. Bad idea in east Texas heat and humidity! Sheared that mess off in early May.
I seldom grow a beard anymore.
It's white as snow and fine.
I despise shaving.
A five o'clock shadow looks like a wino on an old man and I'm NOT dying it!
I'd rather have a "comb over" and I AM NOT doing that!

I just shampooed my beard like my hair, most of the time Head & Shoulders.

Now 73 years old, I've worn a beard since I was 18 always washed it with the same shampoo used on my hair. Trimmed on Sunday morning before going to church and perhaps mid week depending how it looks.

I'm sure there are plenty of videos on youtube of hipsters telling you how to care for your beard with all kinds of expensive trendy products.

There were two times in my life that I had a beard and was shamed into shaving it off.

First time; twenty something still single. I stopped at the local Dunkin Donut shop on my way home and one of the late night regulars looked up when I came in and said," you on your way home from a date ?" I answer yeah, why? His response..."your beard looks like a glazed donut".

Second time; beginning of covid I grew my beard back. After a couple months of going wherever and having to wear a mask my wife told me I needed to shave. When I asked why she said, "When you put your covid mask on, your face looks like a 1960's J C Penny catalog ad for ladies underwear."
