I have a blue/walnut Ruger Hawkeye that I like a lot. It’s pretty heavy for the caliber I think because I also have the same gun in 300 Winchester, both have Leupold 3.5x10 scopes and I have to look closely to see which is which. It shoots well with TTSX and Ballistic Tip 100 grain handloads. I have some factory seconds 120 grain Partitions loaded I want to try.

i have yet to understand why ruger puts the magnum contour barrel on their 25-06 rifles
