Has anyone that has bedded a lever action walk me through their process? I read some article which discuss RTV on the forearm (bedding channel) and epoxy in the keyway area of the forearm. Pics of bedding process and results on paper would be great.

I have a process to bed a Winchester 88, but I don't know if it qualifies as a lever gun like a 94 or such. There is method to bed the front support of an M1 Garand that I think would be similar but it does require a fixture to keep everything centered. I have made a few stocks, both butt and forestock for lever guns, 94's of marlins and winchester, 92's 1886 etc.
Where the forearm mates into the receiver and it inserts to a cutout, I have bedded that. The remainder has no contact. It fits into a similar cut out in the front barrel band on some rifles and some rifles have the forearm relieved so the barrel band fits into it..
I would say it is important to make sure everything at the front barrel band is symmetrical and centered. Some have a tenon that fits in a dove tail on the barrel and then there is a screw on each side of the barrel band that locks the forearm in place. If that is off center, I guest it could put the forearm in contact with the barrel on one side and cause pressure. I would not bed the entire forearm to the barrel above the hole or channel for the tube magazine.

Mic McPherson has a lot of information in his book on this. I agree. The McPherson book has the best information on lever gun improvements that I am aware of.
