Seem to shoot to same POA/POI if loads are agreed up the same and the rifle likes the load?

Generally speaking.

Good deal, have 500 of the SX and have a few regular SP coming.

Hopefully SX for feather dusters and as long as the SP shoot to same spot I can use those for deer and squealers.

Yeah. Sounds good. Just don't use the SX on hogs. I only have a sample of one, but it was enough to dissuade me.Shot a big hog on the side of the head, and it just splashed on the outside. While he was bouncing around trying to shake it off, he got shot a couple more times...third one was at the thin part of the skull above the eyes...that worked.

The SX is quite delicate. I used a lot of 55gn in my .225 and at 3600fps they left a trail of smoke and splashes of lead around the holes in a 100yd target. Accuracy did not seem to be affected and they made a mess of gophers.

My dad used 50gn SX in his .221 and I watched him become quite frustrated trying to shoot a fox in an alfalfa field. The bullets disintegrated on the stems.

A fast twist barrel will cause the SX bullets to come apart. I have had vapor trails and disintegrated bullets with them in a 1 in 9 barrel. Supposed to keep velocity under 3500 fps, but I ran them at full velocity in a Ruger #1 in .22-250 with no issues and my cousin ran them full throttle in a .220 Swift. Both barrels were 1 in 14.

yeah, they certainly will come apart in a one in 12 twist when pushed hard... and even leave a vapor trail almost out of the barrel..
definitely when you use a 1 in 9 twist...

have watched a vapor trail, when it was in the high 90s or triple digits here in Oregon... with a crystal blue sky and low humidity...
and then if the remains hit a target... looks like the target was shot with a 410 and number 5 or 6 shot.

don't remember the formula, but Hornady told me that the SPSX was good for a MAX of 180,000 RPMs

so need to slow them down velocity wise if you are using a faster twist..

I was using a load that was vaporizing them right out of the barrel...

their formula, they were leaving the barrel at OVER 300,000 RPMs...

they just looked like your cold breath on a winter's day.. except this was when it was 100 degrees outside...when they were leaving the barrel...

I can tell you it is fun to watch it tho, when you shoot it on a real foggy day, like we get here in Oregon in the winter...
you can watch the parts flying in all directions when it comes apart, leaving trails thru the fog...

14 twist 222 so I would say they should be fine.

I don’t recall what the twist is on the mini-14, think it was 1 in 7, but the sxsp would come apart.
