I agree 100%, but I am curious as to what the law is on the issue. Can't comment on how self checkout affects it. If a Wal-Mart employee checks you out, and they try to check your stuff on the way out the door, you can refuse. It's understood that after you pay for that stuff in those bags, those bags are your property. They have no legal right to root through them. Unless, they have some damn good reason(proof) you stole something. However, when you join Sam's and other similar clubs, it is part of the agreement that they can do it. Joining, agrees to that.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
