I usually like a more stock look to these but this one looked pretty bitchin.

Great paint job too.

Me too and I've never been a Chevy guy.

That’s my favorite era for the Chevy trucks. I like the short bed step side but I’d jump at a short bed fleetside too.

The actual pic isn't this bad, but I shot it with my digital & it got really bad. But, my second truck, & a ton of mods & memories.:

I'll be out there tomorrow afternoon and try to remember to take some pics for you. Pickups aren't there for long and Dad runs a tight ship.

You'll notice his bald head in the background in some of my pics. He'll BS with you, but he'll never stop working to do it.

Very cool!

Ran into a buddy this weekend that had a 71 4x4 he was trying to sell me for $7,500 25 years ago. He has another and has guys trying to buy it for $40k at when they see it at the grocery store.

Crazy money.

Nice custom C10. What's under the hood? That looks like a granny gear 4 spd shifter.

I think the silver unit next to the power amp under passenger side seat is a controller for an LS motor. Other than that I have no idea. Last thing I'd wanna do is touch a car Dad is working on.

I'd be really surprised if it had a Trans w granny low in it.

You are 100% correct sakkett, but I just never liked 67's & couldn't include them. That was wrong, as its just a back window, & really old parts in the 4x4 versions which were rare anyways.

Higginez;
Good evening my friend, I trust your section of northern California is getting weather you can use and you're all well.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share these photos with us, I very much enjoy seeing both the work in process and the completed stuff too of course.

My goodness that pickup is nice and straight. I don't believe they were even quite that "lined up" from the factory back then, but I'll admit that's reaching into the memory banks for me as far as the new ones goes.

When I moved here to BC a buddy had a '71 4x4 that I thought was about the coolest pickup in town. Wasn't too modified as I recall.

Thanks again and all the best.

Dwayne

I like Fords of the same era too. I’ve got a 69 Ford that I’m working on now.

My first truck was a Chevy long bed 68 fleetside Camper Special with a 4 speed tranny and a peppy straight 6 with 3 gas tanks.

I was a teenager driving a Grandpa truck so I sold it for a Mustang.

Like everything else I shoulda held on to it.
