This thing is gorgeous. I wish I could afford it.

That sure is purty! It's going for far more than I'd pay, though I'd love to have it.

Why is it that no matter what I'm shopping for is "extremely rare" when I want to buy it and the price is up?

Is it really rare, or Gun Broker rare?
Beautiful rifile. I have a thing for the 1A, 1S and 1H. Just picked up a beautiful 1S in 300 H&H.

Nice wood but no classic falling block should be made of brushed stainless.

The wood finish looks like the usual Ruger pebble spray on.

You don't need Lipsey's, just buy a red pad from when Bill was still in charge.

None of these cost even 1/2 of where that one is sitting.

it is rare because it is a configuration or combination of features that does not make sense. You have old school classic mannlicher stock with a modem stainless finish. Very few were made because very few wanted that. I remember giving this a hard pass when new. In any caliber, no thanks.

It has the same appeal to collectors as any other low number item. Some of the most valuable collector guns are failed or defective recalled or sold in limited numbers because they were impractical or in this case BAD taste.

There are few things uglier than a stainless RSI No.1

Worse if it has a laminate stock OR the post Bill RR tie stock with the sprayed pebble finish.

The top rifle and the center rifle almost look like twins… really pretty twins. 😁

I had a #1 SS with grey laminate stock in .405 Win. That was really pretty. Sold it to a guy in Alaska.

Whoever did the pics did a fine job.

This is a fine example of the difference between having the money, and being able (really willing) to afford it. Yeah, it’s a beauty, but if buying it gives you gas over what you paid, you can’t “afford it”, even if you didn’t have to sell the baby’s shoes to get the money.

It’s really nice, but no way would I pay that kind of money.

Gawd, I hate Mannlicher stocks. A complete turn-off for me.

No 1s have gotten stupid in the price department. Long time favorite of mine, but hard pass on the current prices. Do regret selling this one though

Always wanted one. Just don't have the need for one. But thats a beautiful looking one!
